There are 2 chances to check in as a player where you will find out your team and get your players pack:
a) from 9pm on Friday night at our bar: Element. It’s a good opportunity to meet your team and have a drink or two.
Element is under Base Backpackers at the start of Tuwharetoa Street

b) at 9am at the fields at Tauhara College – opposite 30 Invergarry Road – on Saturday morning. Games start at 9.30 so please leave enough time to check in, locate your team and, you know, warm up…

Party and Theme
This is the party you've all been waiting for - and we based an ultimate tournament around - Rubik's Cube Party. http://www.taupohat.com/?q=party
Wear as many different colours from White, Orange, Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue as possible. The items do not have to be clothes, and it is up to you to decide what you are willing to swap. The aim of the night is to end up in only one colour, by midnight. We’ll do what we can on Sunday to get clothes back their owners. We are being hosted by Element, who are having an 80s party for us, should have some awesome drink specials, and there’ll be a bar tab for Taupo Hat people.

A little organisation
This is our first year staying at Base, so it would be nice to make a good impression. That doesn't mean we all have to be saints, but it would be good if you could not leave your rooms in a mess and have consideration for other people that may be staying there. Breakfast will be available at Base on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We're not providing lunches but there will be a lunch break during the games. There are plenty of places to find dinner around central Taupo.
Captain's Meeting will be at the fields at 9am. We should be finished at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon.
