Taupo Hat is held in spring every year, when the weather is getting warmer, and people are getting back into playing ultimate frisbee. The 2012 date is yet to be set.
We play mixed teams, 7-a-side, outdoors on grass (at Tauhara College), Stay At Base, get shirts from Mr Vintage, have music playing all day on the sound bus thanks to the AV People, have dinner at the fields, party on Friday and Saturday nights at Element Bar, someone jumps to their doom at Taupo Bungy, finish the weekend with a soak at Spa Park, with a few other things thrown in for good measure too.
